Aced It

I'm so happy to be here.
My first exam of law school was g-r-e-a-t. I actually got to enjoying it by the end. Professor Saunders is really friendly, and I was completely relaxed after about five minutes.
I'm talking more and more with my hands these days. Noticed it at debating last week, and I think it's partly an expression of nervousness, but mostly of energy. I really got into my civil/court of chancery answer, so my fingers were flinging and my hands were hurrying. [mentioned "Bleak House"! The best part of that is that the novel isn't obscure arcana around here. Literature majors unite!].
In other non/law [gasp] related news, Alexa and I debated one of my cases in preparation for Atlantics tonight. It went really well! Alexa is the most competitive partner I've had since Jon Stern, so I think we stand a very good chance. Amol is awesome, but I think we might be able to make it to finals despite him. Might be a Dal/Dal final though: we're sending half the teams.
Halloween this weekend, which is a pretty huge party for the law school for some reason. The LSS is running a pumpkin-carving contest, so I'm encouraging my constitutents to be creative. I love pumpkin carving. It's fun art.
