Let me play among the stars

Happy Valentine's Day ev'rybody! The sun is shining, it's a be-autiful day in Halifax, and I've done tons of laundry. Very productive, feels good.

I thought I'd take the day to re-publish a much beloved picture. I believe we owe this one to Arran - in more ways that one: she took it, and developed it herself. Remember that night? Jesse's house on the way back to Montreal. 99 luftballons on the stereo.... can't wait to see everyone again. 3 more sleeps!

It's going to be a good time.

I always feel very safe when I look at this one.

In terms of news: Ingrid and I now share more than a slight distain for UCC boys at my parents' parties.

That is to say, we've both been robbed at the Sopinka cup. I don't know about you, Ingrid, but I've internalized my loss and transformed it into a burning desire to get appointed to the bench. ASAP.

Apart from that. . . I got a job!

Yup! Right here in Halifax. You know those two white towers on the waterfront? I'll be there this summer, and I'll be articling there in 2007.

What? When? I know, I didn't write about the interviews, the dinners, the meetings, the call day. Just picture my October posts about the Toronto interviews, and you've got it just about covered. [Except the Bish was, in my opinion, a better restaurant choice]. Oh, and instead of getting no calls, I got two.

[Which led to its own set of agonies: which firm? They're both good, both big, both busy, in the same building... but I knew CHOM better. I'm a Coxite!]

Sounds... almost dirty, huh?

Anyway: sorry to Johnny for not dropping by. Turns out Sopinka doesn't leave much time for anything other than sleeping and eating. Better luck next time!
