I'm so sleepy, it hurt to get up this morning. Swearing helped. It's been a while since I've done that. It was fun.
Those of you aquainted with my current sleeping habits sometimes worry: is it healthy to need nine hours a night? Ah, but I'm making up for lost time. There was a time, last year, when I couldn't sleep. I'd stay up 'till I was exhausted, finally fall asleep and wake up a scarce five or four or three hours later. Absolutely awake. Eyes.. wide open. This happened every day for a month. Then five days a week for another month. Over in about three. It was... amazing. One of many frustrating things about that situation was the time on my hands. I had all this time I was supposed to be sleeping. And I really really wanted to: I was so tired. But no, that wasn't going to happen. So I did whatever I could to get myself tired again. Jogging, gym, squash, yoga. There were some positive effects: I'm glad I learned how to do these things. And I'm fitter than I've been in four years. But, on the whole, I prefer the easy sleep. It's a sign of a good thing. 0 comments
