I'm Used To It By Now
Sorry, sorry!
My life has been very different for the last few weeks in a way that's precluded posting. Take it as a good sign.
Today is the first day I've slept in 'till 10 and not woken to rare companionship. As I was telling my aunt Wanda, I've been cushioned from absence for more than a month now: when Air left, Emilie arrived. When Em left, Dan arrived. When Dan left, school arrived. When class finished on Friday, the Dal debating tournament arrived.
In the swirl of activity it's easy to forget how happy you are. I'm glad I get this Sunday to take stock and appreciate my activity. I still prefer weekdays to weekends because I still love my classes.
Ah, but it's been hard lately. What can I say about hurt that doesn't sound self-indulgent?
Ouch. My back pains me like a M*thrf*cker. And pain makes you self-indulgent, there's no question about that. At least I'm used to lazy days spent reading law books: if I weren't so patient this bed rest would have me baying at the moon.
Almost there :)
Cheers to Eddie for the company this weekend. And it was great to see John too. A lovely weekend.
