Saturday, October 16, 2004It's Wanting What You've Got
I have absolutely no socks. So I've spent the day walking around in naked feet. Being able to do this is, to me, the sign of a happy, healthy apartment: clean, warm, free from sharp objects...
I went to bed this morning around, what, 5:30? 6:00? It makes for a very disjunctive day. I tend to feel a little guilty if I haven't finished at least one project before 5 in the afternoon, but f*ck it. I'll finish Public and feel productive. My room has this weird quirk where if the wind is blowing [as it often is in October] and my window is open, the door might pop open of it's own accord. Scares the bejeezus out of me, everytime. It's funny what will still wake me. Cars and ambulances at night don't bother me at all, and I'm pretty used to the sounds of drunken revelry. The wind, however, will start me out of sleep everytime. I always imagine I'm getting blown out my window... Woah. The next 3 weeks should be fabulous. Mom's in town next weekend for a conference, Atlantics the weekend after that and then some all too infrequent bliss. This will be my last lazy weekend for a month. I'll enjoy it while it lasts. 0 comments
