Monday, September 20, 2004Lost in Translation
My Property course has the following quotation in last week's readings.
"Here is a chair. Can you see it clearly? Good - now translate it into French". I'm glad to see someone else finds the world a little surreal from time to time. Oh, it's still good. My body is starting to shutter-stop though. I can handle the reading. I can handle the socialising. I love to relax with Em and Mike. I just can't believe I can do all at once. Big news: I have an interview for the internation committee on Thursday. Wish me luck! Remember how, during the road trip, days sometimes felt like weeks? Not in a bad way, not at all. They weren't passing by too slowly. It was just that so much happened in 24 hours, it was hard to believe it had all been done at once. Well, this is like that. I never seem to have enough time to buy milk or make food. But when I think that last week was my first.. my second week with Ian and Porter and Jeff and Sean.. it just doesn't make sense. Haven't we known each other for years? Haven't we been in school for ages? I think this is a wonderful sign. I love biking to school too. Gives me street cred :) And now I have mail to open. Goodnight! 0 comments
