..but stop your bitchin! I honestly can't remember what I said last night, but doubtless addressed the
a) cheapness of beer here in Halifax
b) the abundance of said drink
c) the equation of two boys + two girls + four rounds = unsteady Sarah.
So ha ha ha, I can't type when I've been out, we've all seen it before.
Anyway, Emilie and Mike are back! We went to see Hero. Second time for me.. both the ex-HKers laughed at inappropriate times, so I guess some parts are weird even for those used to strange China. Still, it was a great time.
I guess one good day after the next is leading to a pretty positive outlook for me. I'm loving my time here, but I can't really pinpoint why. Is it the free stuff from the law firms? No, not really. The pretty and comfy classrooms? No, I'm not *that* hedonistic. The material? Well, now we're getting close to it. I honestly find our subject matter facinating. It's stuff I really want to know, and I'll really be able to use right now, today. On top of which the teachers are super friendly, and their lectures are exceedingly engaging even when their subjects are not.
I feel happier here than I thought I could. Someone was right.
Let's hope they keep it up! The three [or four, with Stacy] of us are going to the farmer's market tomorrow morning. If I get my work done in time we'll head for Lunenburg Sunday. Wish you all were here!
