Everyone and their dog

I'm not sure why the world's biggest cruise ship is in Halifax this weekend. Given the choice, I think I would pick the Carribian over Nova Scotia, but hey. People can travel where they want :)
Stranger yet is the phenomenon I observed while I went jogging around Point Pleasant. Being on a cruise ship is one thing... converging on the waterfront to watch a cruise ship is quite another thing. Maybe I'm spoiled because I have a great view of the thing from my room, but I'm not sure I would make a family outing of it.
I'm just snarky because all these families get in the way of those of us who have places to go, heartrates to maintain.
Still.. the Queen Mary 2 *is* gargantuan
-> I watched Kill Bill with Stacy and her friend Mark last night. I'm thinking of the scene when the one-eyed blonde kills Bud and describes the dosage delivered by the Black Mamba as "gargantuan", adding "I love that word. I so rarely get to use it in a sentance". <-
I count six stories above the bowline, which would imply at least another six, probably eight stories below. Who needs a boat that high?
The leaves are starting to change in a very beautiful way. On my way back I marvelled at how *residential* this city is, scarcely ten blocks from downtown. I'm talking front and back yards, football games in the street, the works.
Speaking of football, to use the European definition, I'm playing intramural soccer on Wednesday. The law school teams are known collectively as the "Legals" [legal egals? I don't know], but the soccer team is Fraggle Rock. I love it.
We're playing Dal Med. Oh, they're going to need their medical knowledge when we're done with them. /insert intimidating sport-talk here.
