Pop quiz: who wrote "the island"?
You know what I'm talking about. The song that goes: we are an island / a rock in a stream / We are a people / as proud as there's been. Here's the thing: I've got a song assigment in my Atlantic Canada class on Tuesday. And I really want to do the Cape Breton anthem. Matt Howat already did Sloan and the Halifax sound, so I'm gonna go for more traditional. But I don't know who wrote this song! What album was it on? How can I get a copy? I'm willing to buy the CD at HMV if all else fails, but the internet has yielded remarkably dissapointing results. I don't even know what CD to look for. 10 points to whoever answers first. And by 10 points I mean a promise of home-made sarahbrownies. Mmmm. 0 comments
