Friday, January 16, 2004My kingdom for MSN
I really hate McGill's computer policies. Apparently over the holidays they completely eliminated MSN from every computer on campus. That's BULLshit.
First of all, MSN really isn't as much of a timewaster as it once was. I do actually use it for legitimate purposes, from time to time. I certainly do as of late, when I finally got it to work on my Mac again. Second of all, I really can't just wait 'till I get home to message people. People are on-line in the early morning. This is prime chatting time. And I'm almost always at school by now. McGill is trying to isolate me! I fight back with reckless abandon. So this is my stopgap solution. You know, blogging. It's really not the same, but it's better than silence. So let's see... what's new? Well, I'm over-the-moon excited about seeing a certain someone again. Soooo excited! And I'm going to a debating tournament too. The first annual Concordia women's tournament, to be precise. I'm meeting with my partner in 10 minutes to prep some cases. Last night I learned a new definition of pain while getting to Caitlin's housewarming party. -30 [without windchill, wussies] for ten minutes in considerable wind. Couldn't feel my legs. Consequently, I'm going to be asking people to provide details about weather exposure from now on before I agree to a get-together. If this happens again I might become a hermit ever after. I certainly wish going to a California university were an option. But I guess I'll have to settle for the east coast for a warmer Canadian climate. 0 comments
