The Spot

Craziness! My parents had their party, which was both better and worse than I anticipated. I mean, their guests were kinda cool, and I knew some of them. Nice folks. But as is typical when I hang around people my parent's age I got a few questions about my future, and I had to defend my choice of law as profession. Hope I was convincing.
My "oh man" is in reference to our somewhat hurried escape plan: the ever-reliable movie. Or not. We bailed from the party ASAP, but Mike suggested "Elf" which was, I must say, pretty fucking dissapointing. It just re-kindled my desire to see LOTR. I still don't know how I feel: would it have been better to live through the party or waste 10$? We may never know.
How's about a poker night? In foreign currency [again]? Let's invite Mike, and take him for all the pounds and khroner he's worth!
