No, I'm just lazy

Ah, these are wonderful days. I'm about to get Ida off my hands. For those of you who haven't visited me since September, Ida is a 3 year old budgie I'm, well, budgie-sitting indefinitely. He belonged to a very decent debater named Eden who moved away to Victoria. But Ida's become a problem: I can't take him home with me during the holidays, and I'm pretty sure Dave doesn't want him to be here when we come back.
So I posted an ad on McGill classifieds, giving Ida away, and I got three answers in the last few hours. Woah.
But that's not why these are wonderful days. I'm being so *healthy*. Like, I'm getting enough sleep and I'm not eating too much starch or cookies (4 a day. I'm trying to cut back), and I'm even studying. I'm not sure how much studying is enough, but I'm about 1/3 through the anthropology material and I still have a whole day to finish it all off. Happy times.
Disturbingly, my apartment isn't cleaning itself. I kinda thought this would be an organic process, brough about by my continuous presence in the apartment, but apparently not. Gotta get my rear in gear: Mike will be here Sunday afternoon.
Also disturbingly, I haven't done any Christmas shopping. Uh-oh. I don't want this to turn into a chore, but it will be if I leave it 'till the last minute. And no offence to everyone out there, but Sydney shopping is shit compared to Montreal. Some Christmas gifts are three times more expensive in Cape Breton... even though people typicly earn three times less money. [I'm not being sarcastic, or even mean. I live downtown, in the corporate core. The people who work in these buidlings make hundreds of thousands of dollars, which is why there's french designer furniture stores all over the place. Ten points to whoever can name the one close to the Delta!]
No, wait, this is a side rant worth getting into. Ever notice how the rich keep getting richer? Like, the whole principal behind loans, or anything with interest for that matter. If you can't buy something, because you don't have enough money, you end up having to pay more money. Seems kinda counterproductive.
Which is part of the reason I don't own a credit card. Oddly enough, my parents could afford to use credit cards, but they don't. Unless they have to, like buying something online, then they pay the whole bill that month. It's like the system is designed to help you when you don't need help.
Anyway, I've got a question for all of you. All of you except Dave. He's studying for some fluids exam, so I doubt he'll see this before I edit it, tomorrow around 2ish. And if he does, I'll deny all knowledge.
Do you think he'd prefer something
a) music related
b) gaming related
c) clothing related.
I was actually going to post the choices, but it would really ruin the surprise if he turns out to be a net-surfing, studying-avoiding slacker. Like me :)
Yours in nakedness,
~Sarah
