Monday, December 08, 2003It's not so much a habit as a way of life
ooough. I am death warmed over. Two final papers and an exam, all on the same day. Well, I didn't write the papers in one day, they were just due today. But now that I think of it, I did kinda write the bulk of them yesterday.
I have no idea how good or bad they are. I've lost my judgement. Like you lose the ability to smell unpleasant things after constant exposure, I am immune to academic BS. I just can't differentiate anymore. Well, enough of that complaining, on to better things. I'm fighting buying my sister an umbrella that says "Merde, Il Pleut" for Christmas. It's just so funny! And those brits always carry an umbrella around with them: she'd be able to swear every time it rains! But I know she could probably use some winter apparel. She thinks it's cold in Britain. Pft. She's a total pansy since she lived in Hong Kong. Speaking of which, I still harbor the dream that I might live somewhere tropical. And I still think the best time to do it would be now. Someone convince Dave! Oh, and I have a logic question for you. Although UNB is not my first choice for school [nothing personal, Dahl is just a better atlantic choice] I am still applying. And they have this strange kinda question: Have you, a parent or partner graduated from UNB? When? Well, that's a question. Define "partner". Obviously the folks at admission are avoiding the whole gay marriage issue by broadening the term spouse, but I wonder if it's broad enough. Is Dave a partner? If so, he could up my chances at getting in: UNB probably sets a certain number of spaces aside for alumni's kids and "partners". They probably want something more official, but I think four years is official enough. Today's poll: should I answer "yes" to the partner question? I get the feeling I will get nothing but funny answers, but I am curious. 0 comments
